Molinos, centr\u00edfugas y bombas son cargas de <b>alta inercia<\/b>: cuesta mucho arrancarlas y, una vez en movimiento, cuesta frenarlas. Cuando ese equipo arranca de forma directa, el golpe se reparte por todo el sistema.<\/p>\n        <p>El arranque directo genera picos de corriente y de torque que castigan al motor, a los acoplamientos mec\u00e1nicos y a la red el\u00e9ctrica de la planta. Y cuando el equipo desacelera, toda la energ\u00eda cin\u00e9tica acumulada se pierde: se disipa como calor en resistencias o en el propio proceso. En una operaci\u00f3n que corre por temporadas y no puede permitirse paros, ese estr\u00e9s el\u00e9ctrico repetido se traduce en desgaste, fallas no planeadas y energ\u00eda que se paga pero no se aprovecha.<\/p>\n        <p>El Ingenio Tamazula necesitaba lo contrario: <b>arranques suaves, control fino de velocidad y una forma de no tirar a la basura la energ\u00eda del frenado.<\/b><\/p>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section>\n      <h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es un <span class=\"amber\">variador regenerativo<\/span> y por qu\u00e9 cambia las reglas?<\/h2>\n      <div class=\"prose\">\n        <p>Un variador de frecuencia (VFD) regula la velocidad de un motor ajustando la frecuencia y el voltaje que recibe. Eso ya resuelve el arranque suave y la velocidad variable. Pero un <b>variador regenerativo<\/b> a\u00f1ade una capacidad decisiva: cuando el motor frena y pasa a comportarse como generador, el variador toma esa energ\u00eda y la <b>devuelve a la red el\u00e9ctrica<\/b> en lugar de quemarla en resistencias de frenado.<\/p>\n        <p>En una carga de alta inercia que frena una y otra vez, esa diferencia importa. Con un variador convencional, la energ\u00eda de frenado se convierte en calor que adem\u00e1s hay que ventilar. Con uno regenerativo, esa misma energ\u00eda regresa al sistema y queda disponible para otros consumos de la planta.
